JavaScript Developer

Fortech is looking to add a dedicated and experienced JavaScript Developer to its growing team in Iasi.

In this role, you will be working on an application for a famous premium car producer. The software represents a suite of Java/JavaScript distributed applications which provides online services on vehicles head unit. The application is migrating to microservices architecture and uses: Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, relational databases / Spring Data JPA, Docker, JavaScript on front-end (module loaders, promises, dependency injection container built from scratch).

You will be part of our  Web team in Iasi, will work under Agile/ SCRUM methodology and will connect with software engineers and leaders from our client in Germany.

Your Responsibilities

• Requirements analysis
• Participate in design and architecture related decisions
• Implementation of the application based on requirements
• Tasks organization and estimation

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience with JavaScript
• Solid understanding of Functional Programming and Object-Oriented Programming in JavaScript
• Experience with JS frameworks (AngularJS, React etc.)
• Good understanding of the web platform and the Client-Server Architecture
• Good understanding of the modern JavaScript ecosystem: ES2015, Babel, Webpack, ESLint, npm scripts
• Experience with testing frameworks/tool in JavaScript: Mocha, Jasmine, Enzyme/Protractor
• Good understanding of the component-based architecture and unidirectional data flows
• Focus on clean code and following established best practices
• A keen eye for potential performance issues
• Ability to adapt to modern CSS preprocessors/postprocessors
• Good command of English
• Working experience with Express/Koa is a plus
